3rd November 2017

I saw the nurse rather than waiting for the Doctor (dark haired lady) and she was fab, really helpful.

Went because of dark shadow in my peripheral vision. Pleasant receptionist took my details and in less than 5 minutes nurse took me in to test my sight, eye pressure and put drops in eyes to enlarge pupil ready for doctor to examine back of eye. After about half an hours wait doctor did examination, diagnosed detached retina, needing an operation. Referred me to consultant who booked me in to operate two days later. Very happy with friendliness and efficiency of all involved. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this department. First class.

Baring the very long wait due to amount of patients the care and treatment was really good. The one thing that I was disappointed with was the extortionate parking charges. Hartlepool, North tees and James Cook it is £3 for 12 hours. I was 3hours 10 mins and it cost £4 50p..

We have spent time in the eye infirmary previous to our recent visit. We find all the staff extremely helpful in every way.

Excellent service from walking in to walking out. Every stage of each procedure was fully explained and I knew what to expect each time.

After I had checked in at reception I was seen almost immediately for a preliminary assessment which was very reassuring. Then when I saw the doctor I was very impressed with the care I was given. Constructive suggestions would only be that we struggled with the car parking a little as we didn't have any change for the machine so maybe a way of getting change for the machine might be useful.
